Yet another aspect of the lights to be admired, the length of the lighting is easily adjusted which can instantly alter the ambiance of the entire room. Placing one or more pendant lights over a kitchen table or throughout an entire dining room will no doubt create a more sleek, elegant look for the room overall. There are also ways to mix and match various luxury sconces with pendant lighting in a retro or shabby chic manner of décor.

Remove the plastic wire nuts from the wires, disconnect the wires, then remove the mounting bracket. Replace the bracket with the new bracket that came with the light. Once the bracket is installed, it's time to connect the wires. Follow the diagram that came with the light. In most cases, white goes to white, black to black and ground to ground, but every house, especially older ones, can be a bit different. The ground wire connects to the ground screw on the bracket. Before you slide the new mini pendant lights onto the mounting bracket, add new wire caps to the connections.
Shades on pendant style lighting, which was first popularized in the forties in the form of gorgeous blown glass shells, have evolved to compromise all sorts of styles. Some of the most attractive styles of pendant lighting are inspired from this era which features glass globes that have been stepped or squared off with Art Deco touches. You can also find square or triangular open flute art deco shades that have wrought iron details and pastel colored glass panels.
