Leola Howell. Pendant Light. July 29th , 2018.
What types of kitchen pendant lighting are there? There is a huge variety of kitchen pendant lights available on the market and it pays to learn the names of the different types so that it becomes easier to ask for what you want when it comes to looking at models. There are mini-pendants, multi-lights, bowl pendants, billiard and pool table lights, drum shades, downlights and even outdoor pendant lighting.
To some extent, modern ones differs from its traditional counterparts in one manner. They are now operated on battery too. One reason for this could be the absence of electric sockets at desired locations.
A lot of the pendant style lighting fixtures available these days draw heavily on their ancestors which, in the pre-electric days, were chandeliers often bearing multiple candles.
Why so? To understand this, come out of the box and think outside the decor factor. What do you expect a light to do? You expect it to brighten up the place where it has been installed. If the light has been installed in your patio, you expect it to light up the entire patio, although perhaps not too brightly. If you fix the pendant light in your hall or at your main entrance, you again expect the light to illuminate the entire area with a reasonable brightness.
Because of their increased popularity, the pendant can be seen in many modern homes. Don't hesitate to pay a visit to the neighbors or to the model homes, etc. in the area (trust me, many of these model units will use the pendant in a variety of attractive and ingenious ways).
